Life Groups
Life Groups offer a secure and challenging atmosphere to grow in your relationship with God and with others. These groups will give you the opportunity to ask serious questions about life's issues, have meaningful discussions, prayer and much more. You will be empowered and encouraged to discover your purpose and God given gifts. Life Groups consist of approximately 15 people - men with men and women with women - which provides an opportunity for candid conversation.
Life Groups meet every other week on Tuesday Nights at The Embassy Church

Simone Black simoneblack@embassyonline.caMy passion is to see young women come into their identity in Christ, and know that their true worth is not determined by people, their past, or any set back. Through the use of my own experiences of past hurts, loss of friendships and struggle with terminal illness, I hope to empower young women to reach their goals, achieve their dreams, and fulfill the call of God, regardless of life’s challenges or circumstances. It is my desire to encourage young women in establishing a real relationship with God and with people, and to equip them to influence their sphere of society, the local church and their own personal lives. Expect to be part of a group that is exciting, challenging and life-changing! |
Samantha Black samblack@embassyonline.caMy passion is to help individuals find a sense of balance in life; to help people get on the right track towards finding purpose and meaning. I long to see strong "Christians" who understand they are a "new creation in Christ." It is my heart to see young women that are truly confident in whom God has created them to be—enough to trust and value both themselves and others. My life group is about women coming together to have fun, laugh, meet with God, and be challenged!! Women will be able to meet friends, build relationships and grow spiritually/in their walk with God. In ministry, one of the obstacles I have overcome is judgment; feeling like I don’t belong. I have had to remind myself, time and time again, that the focus needs to be on relationship with God rather than on how my neighbor feels about my hair or conduct. |
Julie-Anne Nayler julieannenayler@embassyonline.caI am a 22 year old Psychology graduate from University. Currently, I am working at an Addictions Center, specifically for women and, I am loving every minute of it. Not only is this an opportunity for me to work with women, but it is also a chance to bring forth the Kingdom of God to women who have been abused emotionally, physically or sexually. This is my hearts desire and the people I thrive to be around. Being a part of the Spiritual Counsel at Embassy This Generation has allowed me to pursue my passions and has equipped me for God's calling over my life. Coming to that place has been a long journey, with many tears, challenges and heartbreaks along the way. However, through God's restoration, we are over-comers! In my Life Group, I long to see a group of women who yearn for healing, or who desire to be equipped to help other women; women who, while thriving to become more confident, discover their gifts and pursue their calling. |
Doug Baker dougbaker@embassyonline.caI am 24 years old, married, enjoy candle lit dinners, and long walks on the beach. Aside from my interesting sense of humor, I have a passion for the study of God; with the belief that faith and intellect can co-exist. I want to challenge other men to live in the necessary balance in order to be an effective disciple of Christ. The goal of the group will be greater understanding, through the shared knowledge and experiences of each member. Through a low-key setting, the group will be able to relax and make some new friends. |
Chris D'Andrea chrisdandrea@embassyonline.caI am 23 years old and I teach at a French high school. My passion is to help others discover their God given purpose; understanding why and what God created them to do. I feel that, through life group ministry, you find an atmosphere of learning about who God is and developing a greater comprehension of His ways. While there may be an aspect of teaching, there is also a healthy balance of prayer. My Life Group will be an open environment for each one to share and ask questions about anything they would like. I look forward to meeting you! |
